Three firms compete for chance to build county jail
There can be no margin of error when building something as expensive as a jail. That's the opinion of GSM Architects of St. Joseph, MO-one of three finalists vying for a chance to construct a new jail in North Platte.
The others are Durrant Architects of Denver, Colo. and Treanor Architects of Topeka, Kan. They were in North Platte Thursday for hour-long interviews with the county commissioners and tours of the proposed site locations. Each firm will have 10 days to compile the information they gathered from the visit into preliminary site and design proposals.
